M8 is a super smart companion that is always there for you. When you need motivation, push back, an assistant or even an agent. You talk to it by text message, and you call it Mate.

Today M8 chats with you one to one. Group chats are next: soon you'll be able to add M8 to a group to help organize, plan, remind and get things done.

Remember what you tell it. Look things up live: weather, scores, what's open, prices. Set reminders and standing requests, like "text me at 7am any day my team plays". Read a photo you send, from a meal to a whiteboard. Plan trips, meals and weeks. Draft the message you've been putting off.

Connect Gmail and Google Calendar and it can tell you what needs a reply, save draft emails, watch your inbox, and put things on your calendar. It also checks in with you in the evening, and in the morning if you ask it to.

No. M8 lives in your text messages. Save the contact, text it like a friend.

M8 is invite only. Join the waitlist and Mate will text you the moment you're in, or get an invite link from a friend who already has it and skip the line.

Free while we're in private beta. Paid plans are coming, and you'll hear about them from us well before anything changes for you.

No. M8 can read and draft email, but it doesn't send one on its own: drafts land in your Gmail for you to send. The one exception is Kings M8, which can send an email to the Kings or the Kings Team Store from your Gmail after you reply SEND to the exact draft. It never invites other people to calendar events, and it can't book, buy or pay for anything.

Yes. It's AI. We've built it to say "I don't know" or "I couldn't find that" rather than guess, but check anything important, and don't treat it as medical, legal or financial advice.

We store your messages and what Mate remembers about you so it can do its job. We don't sell your data, show ads, or use your messages to train AI models. The details are in the privacy policy.

Adults. M8 is not intended for anyone under 18.

M8 is not a therapist or an emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. In the US you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at any hour.

Reply QUIET and it stops texting first for 24 hours. Tell it "stop the evening check-ins" or "stop checking in on me" and it will. Reply STOP to end all messages, or HELP for help.

Email jasonmaggio.eth@gmail.com and we'll delete your account, messages, memory and voice notes. To cut off Gmail or Calendar on its own, text "disconnect gmail" or "disconnect calendar".

M8 Studio builds custom M8s for businesses, brands, sports teams, communities and creators: your name, your voice, your knowledge base, and live data from your world, delivered to your people by text. A team's M8 texts fans on game days. A surf brand's M8 sends the morning report for your home break.
